Bailey Tomkinson

Recently featured in The Metro, The Times, The Daily Mail, Hello! and on BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour, Bailey Tomkinson’s mix of pop-country hooks and relatable emotional storytelling has earned her comparisons with “an early Taylor Swift and Emmylou Harris”.

A singer-songwriter from St Ives, Cornwall, Bailey is part of the new wave of British Country influenced artists. Her cross-over appeal recently saw her land a #1 hit on the UK all-genre iTunes Music Video Charts outselling Miley Cyrus and Kylie Minogue. Her latest single also entered the iTunes country charts at #1.

Building a strong reputation on the UK festival scene, Bailey’s progression has seen her land slots at Boardmasters Festival and a main stage opening slot for KT Tunstall. A regular performer on BBC Music Introducing, Bailey is capable of stripped down acoustic sets as well as high energy performances with her band. In January 2020, Bailey and her band sold out the O2 Academy in Islington.

During lockdown Bailey has continued to grow her fanbase and enjoy significant exposure, recording live sets and interviews for Levi’s, BBC4 Women’s Hour, Boardmasters, DC Shoes and CountrylineTV. Her music is regularly featured on stations such as Chris Country, Country Hits and BBC Introducing.

Raised in Milan, Brussels and the UK, Bailey plays both the Piano and Acoustic Guitar. Her influences range from Bruce Springsteen & Taylor Swift through to the Eagles, Carole King and John Denver.

When she’s not performing, Bailey can be found surfing the waves on Porthmeor beach in St Ives.
