Rachel Newnham’s ‘Jealous’ is pure pop perfection

Last week Rachel Newnham released her sophomore single, ‘Jealous’, and it is possibly the purest, most perfect, pop tune we’ve heard all year. ‘Jealous’ is a fun, adventurous track in which Rachel seemingly takes great pleasure in delivering surprise after surprise.

Talking about the single Rachel says “Jealous dives into the insecurities I have had about my body and how I often get caught in comparing myself to other people and other people’s so called “perfect relationships”, and how most of the things people post on social media are not true. It’s natural to feel jealous sometimes, I just feel that it’s not talked about a lot in songs so I thought let’s write a song about it and for people to know that it’s okay to feel jealous sometimes. “

Rachel hit our radar last year when she featured on the BBC TV series “I Can See Your Voice” and we could see then that she was going to be a huge star. Her debut single, ‘Nobody Loves You Like I Do’, was phenomenal and we’re so impressed that she has managed to top that with something even more brilliant.
