Emerging alt-rock duo Planets have unveiled their latest single, “SIGNS,” which explores the idea of finding comfort and guidance in nature, astrology, and unexpected coincidences. Guitarist Hector Castro explains that these “signs” provide reassurance during times of uncertainty. “They remind me that, even when things feel life-changing, everything will be okay,” he says.

Formation and Inspiration Behind “SIGNS”

Planets was formed in mid-2024 by guitarist Hector Castro and vocalist Charlotte King, who met earlier this year and discovered a shared passion for writing original music. Driven by the creative possibilities, the pair began recording demos in early 2024, aiming to craft songs with emotional depth and relatability.

“SIGNS” marks their second release, following their debut single “Red Earth.” Both tracks were recorded in Bexley, Kent, with producer Erim Ahmet, who helped shape the duo’s sound. The new single combines atmospheric guitar lines with King’s emotive vocals, creating a reflective yet powerful piece. “We wanted to write something honest, something that people can turn to when they’re feeling uncertain,” says Castro. “For me, these signs are like little reminders from the universe that everything will work out.”

With more music in development, Planets are set to continue exploring new themes and sounds. “SIGNS” is now available on Spotify, offering listeners a glimpse into the duo’s introspective and evocative style. You can also follow Planets over on Instagram.
