Pien is ready to make waves once again with her next release. ‘I Know’ arrives on 4 April, offering another stunning glimpse into her debut EP According to Plan, which drops on 23 May. Thoughtful, vibrant, and full of feeling, the new single continues Pien’s rise as one of indie-pop’s freshest voices.
Following on from her first EP track ‘I See Sound’, ‘I Know’ blends dreamy guitars with lush harmonies and a beat that won’t quit. It’s the kind of song that gets stuck in your head, but also makes you think.
Trust your gut — even when it’s hard
“I Know follows my journey of how hard it is to trust your instincts,” Pien shares. “Even though it always knows best!”
The track captures that internal back-and-forth — when your intuition is loud, but your doubts are louder. Pien lays it all out with emotional honesty and bold vocals, building a sound that feels personal but universally relatable.
She co-wrote and produced the track with long-time collaborator Hattie Murdoch, continuing a creative partnership that’s helped shape her signature style — shimmering, grounded, and confidently unique.
A new favourite for indie-pop fans
Pien already impressed with previous singles like ‘WTF’ and the BBC Introducing-supported ‘I See Sound’. Each release has shown a new side of her, and ‘I Know’ might be her most introspective yet.
Live, she’s made her presence known with shows at The Camden Club, 93 Feet East, Two Palms and a series of Sofar Sounds gigs. Whether she’s playing London or Amsterdam, it’s clear she’s building a real connection with fans.
Big plans for 2025
The countdown to According to Plan has officially begun. To celebrate the EP’s release, Pien headlines The Waiting Room in London on 23 May. It’s the start of a run of UK shows that promise to take her music to even more ears.
With strong songwriting, polished production and a real sense of heart, Pien is carving out a space entirely her own.
