Rising singer-songwriter Milly Mason has announced the release of her latest single, ‘The Girl That I Was Before’ for 13th February. The Cardiff-based artist, known for her deeply introspective songwriting, continues to impress with music that belies her years. This track marks the third release from her upcoming EP, set for an early summer 2025 debut.
Mason first discovered her passion for songwriting and performing during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Speaking about the new single, Mason revealed that while ‘The Girl That I Was Before’ is not autobiographical, it remains deeply personal in a creative sense.
“This song, despite not being autobiographical, is one that delves as deep into my creative inspiration as any song I have written. One of the best things about songwriting is being able to write based on the stories made up through imagination. This is true for ‘The Girl That I Was Before’. Once brought to life in the studio with a greater musical depth, it became the song it needed to be.”
