Radiohead seem poised for long-awaited return with tour hints and new activity

Radiohead might just be getting ready to hit the road again, and fans are already spiralling in the best way possible. From secretive auction listings to behind-the-scenes paperwork, the clues are stacking up, and it’s all pointing towards a big return in 2025.

Let’s start with the auction. A charity prize popped up recently offering two tickets to a “Radiohead concert of your choice.” That’s already a huge tease, but the listing added more fuel to the fire by saying the winner could choose the city and date. It didn’t mention a tour directly, but come on — what else could it be?

At the same time, the band’s full line-up has been quietly reactivating a limited liability partnership. It’s not the kind of thing that happens for no reason. This move usually suggests the band are gearing up for something official. Fans immediately started buzzing, especially since it’s been a while since all five members made a move together.

Whispers have also started around potential venue bookings across Europe. Word is, a few cities have been locked in for autumn 2025. That would make it Radiohead’s first proper tour since 2018. Their last album, A Moon Shaped Pool, dropped back in 2016, so the timing feels perfect for something new.

Even though there’s no confirmed album on the way, their recent actions have fans thinking we could get new music too. The group aren’t exactly known for doing anything by accident. If they’re moving, they’re moving for a reason.

Of course, the band haven’t exactly been twiddling their thumbs in the meantime. Thom and Jonny have had a brilliant run with The Smile. Ed dropped his solo project. Colin’s been busy touring with Nick Cave. And Phil’s been DJing and working on other music projects too. But as great as their side hustles have been, nothing hits quite like a proper Radiohead comeback.

Fans are already making wild guesses about setlists, venues and surprise releases. Some reckon it’ll be a low-key, artsy run of shows. Others are hoping for full-on arena spectacles. Either way, the excitement is real, and the community is back in full theory-mode.

Whether you’re a longtime fan or someone who discovered them through In Rainbows memes, this moment feels special. Radiohead have always been one of those rare acts that move at their own pace. When they show signs of waking up, the music world pays attention.

So, while we wait for something official, now’s the time to dust off those tour hoodies and clear your 2025 calendar. If the rumours are true, we’re about to see one of the most iconic bands on the planet back where they belong — on stage.
