Hallworth will release ‘The Way It Is’ on 28th February 2025. The indie-folk artist blends acoustic melodies with raw, heartfelt lyrics. This track explores personal growth and hope after difficult times.
The song came to life at Kore and The Dairy studios in London. Hallworth co-produced it with Tom Baird, who has worked with Sea Girls and Aquilo. The folk-infused sound allows the lyrics to stand out, while warm instrumentation gives the track a sense of comfort. Reflecting on a tough period, Hallworth states, “I was feeling out of sorts, but I’m sorted now.”

Hallworth wrote it last April, moving from a period of poor mental health to a more hopeful outlook. “I wrote ‘The Way It Is’ about coming out of a period of poor mental health into a slightly more hopeful one,” Hallworth explains. “It’s sort of a thank-you letter to the people who help you get to that better headspace.”
