We’re really excited to announce that Lichfield-based musician Emily Alice has released her debut single ‘Ice Blue’ across all streaming platforms. The beautiful stripped back track was written and recorded in Emily’s dining room during lockdown. It’s a stunningly realised debut from an artist we’ve been watching grow in confidence over the last few years.
Talking about the track Emily says:
“Ice Blue was written , recorded and mixed during the first lockdown in my dining room. The writing process for this song came so naturally and I was able to write it in 30 minutes and begin recording the next day. I really tried to convey the excitement of meeting that special someone throughout the song. There is a relaxed nature throughout Ice Blue, it being just my vocals and acoustic guitar which I love so much. I am so happy to finally be able to share with everyone!”
‘Ice Blue’ marks the start of an exciting career for the promising Midlands singer. She looks set to build on this release with an exciting year ahead.
Emily is also performing a number of live dates over the coming weeks:
- 29th April – Grub Club, Lichfield
- 30th April – The Pig, Lichfield
- 27th May – The Hub at St Mary’s
- 4th June – Burntwood Wakes Festival
