Caitlin Lavagna Teams Up with Bloc Sessions for New Live EP

Welsh alt-pop star Caitlin Lavagna is teaming up with Bloc Sessions for her first release of 2025 – a blistering new live EP that lands on 24th April. Aptly titled Bloc Sessions, the three-track project sees Caitlin tap into her rawest, most powerful form, delivering reimagined versions of originals and a wild surprise cover that’ll stop you in your tracks.

Recorded live at the Bloc studio space in Wales, this project isn’t just a warm-up for what’s next – it’s a full-blown showcase of Caitlin’s vocal strength and fearless creativity. And trust us, it hits.

A stripped-back storm

The Bloc Sessions EP features three tracks, each showing off a different side of Caitlin’s bold alt-pop sound. First up is a new version of the glistening anthem ‘Gold’, followed by the unreleased original ‘Losing Days’, which hints at what’s to come later this year.

Then comes the wildcard: a stunning, slow-burning cover of The Darkness’ ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’. Caitlin completely flips the glam-rock favourite on its head, giving it a heartfelt edge that’s both unexpected and unforgettable.

More than music

Caitlin’s been on an impressive run lately. With four BBC Radio Wales A-list singles under her belt, a spot on Good Morning Britain, and award nods for everything from her music videos to her acting – she’s firmly established herself as one to watch. She’s also the co-host of podcast Tea For 2, where she dives into all things life, identity and creativity, bringing her fans along for the ride with honesty and humour.

Bloc Sessions marks another milestone. It’s not just a showcase of her voice, but of her evolution as an artist – rooted in the Valleys, reaching out to the world. The collaboration with Bloc is more than a studio session; it’s a snapshot of who Caitlin is right now: raw, real, and totally in control.

With more new music on the way and a growing list of achievements behind her, Caitlin Lavagna is stepping into 2025 with serious momentum. You won’t want to miss where she’s heading next.
